Year 6 have been working their socks off this week !
They are working really hard in preparation for their upcoming challenges. In guided reading we have continued to enjoy the text 'Storm Breaker ' by Alex Ryder and have enjoyed creating job adverts for the position of a spy. We have bravely tackled subordinating and coordinating conjunctions and even semi colons as part of our GPS work.
In maths we have worked on key language to help us describe shape and in science discussed how light travels in straight lines. We have also had a go at pancake flipping which turned out to be great fun.
The highlight of the week however has been the super effort by children (and parents) for world book day. Each child came to school dressed as a word. Some of the words they came as included: absorbent, disorientated, hero and many more.
