Spring Two
Welcome back after the lovely half term break!
Our brand new topic for this half term is all about... Toys!
In this exciting history based topic we will be comparing old and new toys.
We will be thinking about the toys and games our grandparents and even great grandparents played when they were children and how toys have become what they are today.
In our writing we will be reading and retelling a range of picture books such as, Dogger, Paper Dolls, Lost in the Toy Museum, Kipper's Toybox and the Everywhere Bear.
In our maths we will be continuing with addition and subtraction of larger numbers and learning new methods to help us with this.
In our science we will be comparing a range of materials and researching what materials are used to make a range of toys.
We will be continuing with our Little Wandle Scheme in reading and phonics and beginning to complete activities linked to the phonics screening check.
