Wow we can't believe how quickly Week 2 whizzed by due to all the brilliant things going on in Year 4!!!

So we continued to look at 'Until I met Dudley' in our writing and have decided on 4 inventions we are going to base our own explanation texts on. The planning is coming along nicely. Fynn, James and Milly were on fire with their planners this week and Jack C added so much detail!!!

Time was the key word in our maths this week as we started to look at months, years and days and moved on to hours, minutes and seconds. IN true Year 4 style there were some crazy dance moves to help us remember how to tell the time. Please can you take the time to practise telling the time from both analogue and digital clocks to help us with our learning.

We had such a great time on Friday when we had to 'Drop Everything and Calculate'. Each time the bell went we had to stop everything and complete some mental addition questions. The children let out a cheer each time the bell went and couldn't wait to get started. The whole school loved doing this and it culminated in a calculations battle in the hall at the end of the day. A big thank you goes to our Maths Working Party as all the teachers in this group helped to organise the mornig.  Year 4 smashed it 

We went on a information finding mission in our topic work as we canvased the school for their thoughts on inventions. We then had to use our maths skills to collate our information and present this in different ways. 

Our music lesson this week focused on our grand performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall next Wednesday. Have a look at the main class page for a copy of the letter we sent out on Wednesday. All parents/carers are more than welcome to come along and watch us all perform!!

Amazing pieces of homework came in this week and we are so impressed!! Please make sure to hand your homework in by Wednesday each week and everyone needs to have a go at completing their Nando's homework.
