Week 4

Here we are, nearly at the end of another busy week in year 6. Rehearsals are well underway for our Christmas spectacular 'The Bethlehem Bandits' with everyone working really hard to learn their lines. We are nearly at the end of a fantastic piece of writing based on our trip to 'Robinwood'. In order to understand writing in an informal style we have written about our trip in the style of diary of a Wimpy Kid.

In maths we have bravely been tackling division learning lots of different strategies to tackle tricky questions.

In our topic based around World War 2 we have been answering  key questions about the lives of evacuees asking ourselves was it really necessary that children were sent so far away from home during war time Britain? We then got the opportunity to try out some role play imagining we were evacuees. We felt a lot of empathy by the end of this and had a great understanding of what children of a similar age to us went through.
