Get your week 2 news here

This week was such a busy week with lots of learning, parents evenings and a big focus on Anti-Bullying. Have a look at what we have been doing  below...

Well our story writing has got off to a fantastic start and our drafts for 'Dum Spiro THE RETURN' are well under way. We have been drafting our ideas and have our green pens at the ready to edit and improve our work. We can't wait to see the final pieces of work next week.

We have been measuring experts this week as we have got to grips with perimeter. The children were great problem solvers and pushed themselves on to make great progress.

Watch out as we have some budding gladiators in our class. The children have been busy looking at gladiators and even re-created their own battles!! They have really enjoyed completing this work with Mr Webster.

A big thank you to everyone who handed in their first pieces of homework this week. There are some fantastic pieces of work being created. From amazing days out, sharing books with family to spear and creating Roman forts...it is brilliant!

Thank you to those parents and carers who attended parents evening this week. It was really lovely to see you all and share how hard the children are working. Remember we have the weekly class drop ins each Tuesday should you wish to see us for any further questions or updates. Our door is always open!

Now the whole school focus this week was Anti-Bullying and the Year 4 children had some interesting points to mention in our class discussions. We discussed the question was is bullying and how does this affect people. We were very honest yet sensitive when sharing experiences of name calling. The class discussed the ideas of nick names and at what point name calling becomes bullying. Drama time was needed as we created frieze frames to show examples of banter versus bullying. Have a look below at the great ideas we had...

Banter or bullying? You decide!
