Year 6 have come back to school with a super positive attitude towards all areas of their learning.
They arrived in the classroom on Monday morning to find that it had been ruined. Tables were upside down, chairs were strewn across the floor paper was everywhere. They then spent 30 mins trying to work out what had occurred. We concluded eventually that it must have been a form of 'supernatural occurrence'. This led nicely into our first writing genre for this half term which is based around the music video 'Titanium'.
We have also had a visit from the fire service this week talking to us about how we can stay safe and behave safely around fireworks on bonfire night.
In maths we have bravely tackled division with a 'can do' attitude with lots of us moving onto challenges requiring reasoning and problem solving.
In science we have started our topic on light and have carried out a practical investigation related to how light travels.
In Spanish we have been focusing on the different family members that make up families in our school community and in PSHE / RE we have been preparing to lead the remembrance service on Monday.
