Week 5 over already!

Another week down!

This week has been an exciting week for us in year 3, we have our very own elf, Cliff, who has been causing all sorts of mischief around the classroom!

On Monday, we received letters from our friends from Buckstones Primary School (our linking project) and the children absolutely loved it! They have each received a letter and we have been planning how we are going to respond. Next week, in between all the mayhem, we will be looking at writing back our responses.

In our maths we are working at securing and applying the skills we have worked hard at since September. The children are letting us know too if they are unsure about anything we have covered so we can make sure they have those skills ready for term 2! They are so positive at reflecting on their learning which is a great skill to have! I love reading their feedback and it helps us work together :)

In our Science we have been looking at Soil, what it is and what makes up soil. We are going out around school on Friday to investigate the different types of soil around school. The children really found this interesting - apologies for some muddy uniform on Friday evening!

We have been continuing our work on the play and are counting down the days that we have the opportunity to perform for you all!

Next week, we have Christmas dinner and jumper day (Wednesday 13th November)- looking forward to seeing some of you there.

**Note - there will be no spellings sent home for the test next Friday, instead we will be revising the spelling words we have covered over the term **

Have a lovely weekend!
