Week 2

Another busy week. Chilli Challenge homework went out on Thursday and needs to be returned on Tuesday please. There should be something for everyone, as we chose the ideas together. Please also practise spellings and times tables. By the end of year 4, children are expected to know tables from 1 to 12, including all the division facts so lots of practise needed!

In maths, we have a class of superstars as they have worked so hard on learning to round numbers both to the nearest 10 and the nearest 100. We have played lots of games both inside and outside in the playground to help us reinforce our learning.

We are spoilt for choice in our reading as we have got two great books on the go. We are reading Horrid Henry as a stimulus in our writing and Varjak Paw (a very different book) in our Guided Reading sessions.

On Wednesday afternoons, as well as PE, the children are learning computer skills with Mr Webster.

Have a lovely weekend and come back refreshed on Monday.
