Reading Week
On the week beginning the 5th March 2012 we started reading week. A chance for us to celebrate reading! We had aN AMAZING poet come and visit us. Ian Bland was hilarious! We learnt how to write Kenning poems and performed some for the whole school.
In year 4 we were also fortunate enough to have, not 1, not 2, not 3 BUT 4 Parents come and read to us. Thank you THANK YOU to Mrs Plant, Mr Harthill, Mr So and Mrs Brown. We heard a great selection of children's stories read with great enthusiasm.
What a treat!!!!
Friday was the best day though because Miss Diamond dressed up as Alice in Wonderland, Mrs Tierney dressed up as Where's wally?? And we all dressed up as many characters from our favourite books.
Can't wait for next year!
