Autumn 1 - Geography and the local area
This half term, in Geography, Miss Chapman has been teaching us all about how to read atlases and OS maps, together with using a key to label our own map.
Earlier this week, we went around the school grounds, trying very hard to identify on a map the classrooms, atrium, car park, playground and many other features, both human and physical. We orientated the map to help us to do this.
In our next geography lesson, we will be using the skills we have learned, to identify human and physical features on a walk around the local area.
