It has been a busy week for Year 5.
Firstly, well done to all the children, who went on the Big Band day on Wednesday. It sounded like you had a fantastic day and got an early finish!
At the start of the week we had the life education bus in school. The children had a fantastic session and were really engaged with their learning. They even got to take a peek at Harold the giraffe as they were all desperate to see him again.
In our topic work, we compared all the life cycles of a mammal, an amphibian, a bird and an insect. The children discussed and identified similarities and differences in the life cycles.
On Wednesday, we had a major problem in Year 5, as the chairs decided to quit. They had left us a few letters explaining why they had felt the need to quit on us. The children then had to write a persuasive letter back to the chairs, convincing them to return. They did a fantastic job and luckily for them the chairs returned.
We also had an afternoon at forest school this week, building habitats. It was fantastic to see the children work as a team and how they all delegated roles to each other.
Have a lovely weekend.
