This week in year 6 we have been busy writing our own version of the fantastic story of Rose Blanche who was a young girl living in Nazi Germany during World War 2. The language that the children have used is fantastic and the narratives the children have produced have kept us gripped when reading them. They are now going to publish them next week.
In maths we have been developing our arithmetic skills but also focusing on multi step word problems where the children have to decide which method they are going to use to answer the question correctly. As usual year 6 have shown lots of resilience and determination in trying to find the correct answer.
In science we have continued to look at evolution and also studied life for women on the home front during WW1.
Finally we have been working hard in preparation for of Christmas extravaganza where I am sure that the lucky parents and families will enjoy a show of laughs, talent, singing and dancing.
