Week 6 W/C 7.10.19

This week has been a fantastic week!

We kicked off our week with a trip to Castleshaw, with our linking school at Coppice Primary School. The children were AMAZING! We were so proud of them, the way they conducted themselves, the way they joined in all the activities even if some were out of their comfort zone!

We have completed a share write for a letter to Coppice and will be creating our own letters in a couple of weeks. We have also been working hard on our punctuation. We have added question marks as our focus and have been working hard on identifying questions in our SPAG activities.

In our maths, we have been working on sequences, counting on in 2s, 5s and 10s.

We have also began our science topic this week and carried out our own investigation to answer the question, 'How many drops of water does it take to rip the paper?' We used pipettes to test out 5 different types of paper. The children worked brilliantly together in pairs and in groups.

Below is our spellings and homework for next week.

Next Wednesday is our class trip to Museum of Science and Industry and to the Alan Turing memorial. The children are really excited (as are the adults!).

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Harris
