Week 6

Another week is over!

The weeks are going so fast at the moment !

This week has seen us finish our non chronological reports about the Manchester Blitz. We are now  ready  to publish them on Monday in an exciting and new format.

In maths we have moved onto addition and subtraction. In true year 6 style we have really embraced this and took it in our stride. We have also been looking at the properties of 3 D shapes as part of our catch up maths  as we missed learning about this in year 5 due to the part closure of school.

In our history lessons we have been looking at the vital role of women in world war 2. We had some excellent discussions / debates about their role and realised the true importance of the contribution of women.

In science we continued our topic on evolution, carrying out a practical activity looking at the evolution of beaks for birds and how they have adapted over time. This was lots of fun and of course a valuable learning experience.
