Welcome back everyone, we hope you have had a lovely Christmas break and were able to spend some precious time with your families. This half term our topic is 'Brrr! It's Cold' and (for once) we are hoping the weather will support our topic and we'll have some wonderful wintery days to explore. We will be learning all about the polar regions - The Arctic and Antarctica including where they are on the globe, the animals that live there and what the environment is like. We will also be discussing 'hibernation' and how animals adapt to the different environments they live in.
Our role play area will be transforming into an Arctic campsite where the children will be able to dress accordingly, do some ice fishing, cook the fish they catch on the camp fire, build igloos and read stories in the campsite tent.
