We are absolutely delighted to welcome the whole of year 6 into school back where they belong for the remainder of this half-term. The attitude to home learning was super and we are excited to build on this now and ensure all the children progress to where they need to be. For the remainder of the year there will be a big focus on reading, writing and maths to ensure that gaps are filled and children have caught up with any learning they may have missed. As well as this will will still be providing all the much needed enrichment of a full curriculum.
Our topic this half-term is always one of the favourites for year 6 each year. We are focusing on the history of our local area especially but not limited to the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian era. We we be learning and exploring lots with our key reading text this term the amazing 'Street Child' which year 6 are already enjoying. PE as usual will be on a Thursday and Friday and our connected curriculum will be First-Aid with Mrs Travis and Mr Scott.
As usual if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Mr Scott & the year 6 team.
