Week 6 was a busy week....

We were all kept super busy this week and had lots of hard to show for it...

In maths we tackled negative numbers and although they proved a bit tricky at first we didn't let this stop us. From creating our own numberlines to solving a sea level problem we soon became negative number experts.  We will ready to move on to our addition chilli challenges next week...

Our publishing skills have been put to the test as we have been working so very hard to publish our amazing 'Journey through the Body' story and there are plenty of children trying to get their brand new handwriting pens. A big well done to Milly, Shriya, Fynn, James and Lewys who got their pens this week. There will soon be more so watch this space!!

We have been budding artists this week and have focused on our shading skills. All of our hard work will come together as we created our own self portraits in the style of Andy Warhol.

The big news this week was the launch of the Oldham Pledge. The children worked so well with Year 5 to generate ideas as to how they could meet their pledges. When we have all the consent forms back in we can get the pledge passports handed out. The children and I have created a booklet of all their ideas to help them. This will be sent home next week.

We took part in the Intra-School challenge organised by Mr Musgrove. A big thank you to the Year 6 Sports Leaders who helped us. Whose House Team will win???

Again we must say a huge thank you for all the amazing homework that just keeps on coming. It is quite simply amazing!!!

What is coming up next week...

We will start our new piece of writing but remember its a big Horrid Henry secret mission

Clarinets will be a bit of a longer session to make up for last week

Spellings will focus on our statutory Year 3 and Year 4 spellings so we won't send any home this week
