Week 5

At the end of another week already!

In our maths learning this week, we have been subtracting and adding multiples of 10s and 100s. The children's confidence in this was brilliant, and with their homework this week, hopefully you can see this too. We have also been practising our 2, 5 and 10 times tables. We have 40 questions to answer in 5 minutes. Some children have moved onto doing the inverse too, which is great. The children going on times table rockstars will help with this so much.

In our writing this week, we have been planning and drafting our own newspaper report on La Palma volcano that recently erupted. We have been using our volcanic vocabulary that we have been discovering in our geography lessons too.

In Spanish with Mrs McMillan we have been learning to count up to 20!

In our science learning this week, we have been learning about the formation of metamorphic rocks and the process.

On Thursday, we had a special treat as we were able to have a tour around the Houses of Parliament! We had a look round the robing room, as well as looking around the House of Lords and the House of Commons. The children absolutely loved this and I hope they told you all about it - we had lots of information!

All homework is uploaded onto seesaw, should there be any problems, please let me know.

Have a great week,

Mrs Harris
