Week 5 updates
We've had another super week in year 3 this week.
It started on Monday with our half term trip to Tandle Hills. We used 2 orienteering routes around the park, using our map reading skills. The children seemed to really enjoy the trip and applying their knowledge. We were extremely lucky too in the weather that we had! They all seemed to be really tired afterwards … so hopefully they had a good night sleep for you!
In our geography this week, we have been looking at topographical maps. These maps show us the land changes in certain areas. We used this sort of map for Tandle Hills and studied a map of the UK in our class atlases.
In our writing this week, we have begun creating our own leaflet. We have researched and looking through some leaflets in class and picked out the good and bad bits, so now it is our turn!
