Autumn 1
A huge welcome to our very first topic ... A.Turing Way! In this topic we will be looking at inventions, technology and particularly Alan Turing and his Enigma machine. We will be looking at how Alan Turing helped during World War Two and how he faced different difficulties within his life.
We will be looking at how technology has changed over time and how this impacts our lives daily.
In our science work we will be focusing on the uses of every day materials and performing science experiments to test this.
In our writing work we will be creating a story based on the book the Colour Monster and writing a simple biography about Alan Turing.
Our Maths work this half term will be place value and looking at the value of different digits within a 2 digit number.
We are all so excited about this half term so let's reach for the stars year 2!
