What a week!
We have been writing our fairy tales and to say that Miss Hunt and I are impressed is an understatement! We have been blown away by the quality of the children's work and their amazing imaginations!
We will be continuing our writing process by editing and publishing our work in the following week, I am sure if you ask your child they will be willing to tell you their fantastic story!
After our quick pit stop with addition and subtraction, which will be on going throughout this half term, we have now started our geometry unit, working on 2D and 3D shapes. We have already made a brilliant start on it so lets keep up the hard work!
As you already know we are having a big push on reading this half term, the children are now expected to read at home 3 times per week and have 3 written entries in their reading diaries. Please remember this doesn't have to be the whole book it can be a few pages and the reading diary then needs to be signed by an adult with the page that they are up to and who they have read with.
If there are under 3 entries in the diary then the children will be in reading catch up club on a Tuesday during lunch time. A slip will be stuck into their reading diary as a reminder to read the following week. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask me or Miss Hunt.
Have a lovely week,
Miss Benbow
