Hello and welcome to our Spring 1 page. This half term we have lots of exciting learning going on. We are starting our new history topic, based on Ancient Egypt. Take a look at our knowledge organiser to find out more about what we will be learning. In Maths, we will be continuing to work on our fractions knowledge, before moving onto measurement, ratio and algebra. Our writing this half term will be based on the brilliant book 'Secrets of a Sun King' by Emma Carroll. Speaking of writing; we really hoped you enjoyed reading your child's instructional writing from the end of last half term based on The Grinch!
Homework
Homework is not sent out weekly for children. However, it is an expectation that children are working on spellings, particularly the Year 5/6 common exception words (on our class page), times tables and reading at least three times a week to an adult.
It is vital that we have your support with this in order for your children to continue to make progress and support learning in school. If you have any questions or queries about this, please do not hesitate to contact me.
