What a busy week we've had!
We started off with our wow starter day. In the morning, the children had a topic quiz to complete, some animal sketching and a visit from Ranger Rob (pictures are in a separate folder). In the afternoon, we looked at some vocabulary for our new topic and then planted some sunflower seeds which we can now monitor.
In our English, we have started a new book, looking at the key arguments for deforestation. The children have shown a key interest in this learning and asked for further information regarding palm oil and have referred this back to the banned Iceland advert in their guided reading.
In our maths, they have been finishing off their long multiplication learning and have been stretching themselves to bigger numbers.
This week in topic, we dissected a daffodil and managed to label all the parts of a flower. The children really enjoyed this activity getting to see all the sections and understanding its components.
Homework has been sent out, along with a letter for Robinwood. If you have any questions please don't hestitate to ask.
Have a lovely weekend!
