What another busy week in year 6!
As well as squeezing in lots of amazing learning this week year 6 have also been practising hard for our end of term 'Christmas Extravaganza.'
In literacy we have continued with our 'Supernatural Narratives' which are really starting to show quality. We have been working hard on 'Show bot tell' when writing to describe a characters actions through movement and feelings etc.
In maths we have been looking at ordering fractions. It is really evident that children are more secure with their basic times table and number facts and great that they can apply this to a different context. We also on Thursday had a visit from Pat who works at Santander bank. he talked to use about how we use money and also about the importance of budgeting. He had nothing but praise for the attitude of year 6 after the session .
We are now at the stage in DT where we have all of our equipment and resources and are looking forward to using them to strenghten our shelters next week.
