What we have been achieving in week 3

This week got off to a flying start!

We have been continuing our work on settings this week and really thinking about our vocabulary and sentence structure. We can really see a huge improvement in the children's writing in this piece and it is really lovely to see.

In out maths we have been continuing our work on time. Some of us have been securing our knowledge of telling the time to the nearest 5 minutes and some of us have been working out durations. If any of the children have access to an analogue clock at home, please can they be encouraged to tell the time. We have also been looking at the 6 times tables and do this in tune to Taylor Swift's Shake it Off!

In our topic we have planted our cucumbers and peas and we are very excited to see whether they grow! We have also been looking at the parts of the flowers for pollination and the life cycle of plants :)

This week we even managed a trip to the Queen Elizabeth Hall where the children were able to perform their songs of Pharrell Williams Happy, Ed Sheeran Perfect and Bob Marley 3 Little Birds... They were absolutely FANTASTIC and we could've burst with pride!

Have a lovely weekend
