In Maths, the children have been busy building on their place value knowledge and really understanding their tens and ones and counting up to 100 using a variety of resources and ways of creating tens. They have worked hard recapping adjectives and nouns and we used the character Peter Rabbit to describe all his features. In our topic work, they have been looking at different habitats and what kind of animals we would find in the different climates.
Next week, the children will be starting phonics and will be going into different groups. We have tried to remind the children how important it is that they are applying these skills in their reading and getting them to remember to take home their reading books, to read to different family members.
