WOW what an amazing first week we've had in Year 4.
We started the week with our WOW starter, which believe it or not involved making poo! Not because we thought it would be a great start to the year, but because we are learning all about the digestive system and teeth. If you are brave enough, take a look at the photos below (they look very realistic!) During our WOW starter we also learnt about some of the functions of human teeth, we pretended to be both the molars and incisors when breaking up and crushing the cereal.
In our writing we started to write a set of instructions about how we made the 'poo'. We are going to work more on this next week. In Maths, we have started our place value unit, which all of the children worked very hard with!
I would like to say a huge well done to all of Year 4 for their hard work and resilience this week, as it has been a hot and tiring one! Also, big thanks to all of the parents for helping us to make the transitions in the morning and after school so smooth and of course for your continued support.
I hope you have a lovely weekend,
