Autumn 1
Our brand new topic to begin the year is ... A Journey Down The River!
In this topic we will look at all things wet! We will be focusing on how the water cycle works and where our water comes from. We will be going on a trip to Castleshaw to complete a river walk and look at the rivers in our local area. We will even make our very own water cycle!
In our writing work we will be focusing on the story of Kensuke's kingdom and we will be creating our own diary entry.
In our maths work we will be recapping our place value knowledge and also working on our addition and subtraction skills.
In our guided reading we will be completing reading tasks from the text Journey to the River Sea.
I know we will have a brilliant first half term and as always... reach for the stars!
