Week 2

Well this week the Year 6 were absolutely amazing when the atrium was turned into the House of Commons for our parliamentary debate looking at the policy of appeasement before the outbreak of World War Two. The children were fantastic researching the events leading to the outbreak of World War Two. From our learning we were able to answer the key question 'If the events of World War One were so horrific why did we find ourselves heading into World War Two only 20 years later?'. Mrs Bingham and Mrs Addyman were very impressed with the way in which the children approached the activity and put forward their points of view.

On Thursday, we took part in our whole school Remembrance Service. Year 6 led this infront of the whole school and took their roles very seriously. Lots of the teaching staff commented on how respectful the children were. We took great pride in laying our poppies in our Remembrance garden.
