This half term, we are moving onto our history topic, World War 2. We will be looking at the impact that the war had on Oldham and Manchester.
We will be looking at texts, artefacts and having special visitors in to support us with our topic and help us to learn more.

Homework
Each child has been given a pack for homework this year. This contained the year 5 and 6 common exception word spelling list, their TT Rockstars login and a handwriting prompt sheet.
The focus of homework this year is key skills. Each week, children should work on spellings, times tables using TT Rockstars or any other way that they like and they need to be reading with an adult at home at least 3 times per week.
Reading records will be collected in weekly to check that children are reading at home. If you need any support or have any questions regarding homework, please ask one of the Year 6 team.
