Week 2
Wow! We can't believe it is nearly the end of a busy week. To say it has gone quick would be an understatement. Year 6 as they did last week have continued to set a fantastic example around school. We have been warriors tackling our first assessments of the year. The focus the children showed when completing these has been excellent.
In literacy we have been planning our diary entries and in numeracy we have been moving through the 'chilli challenges' developing our ability when working with place value.
We had a fun time on Wednesday afternoon with Mrs Bingham starting our creative writing unit generating our ideas and making our books look stunning.
Finally we had a crazy time on Tuesday afternoon learning about trench warfare in World War War 1. We then recreated the trenches and had a real life battle in the hall looking at different tactics for defense and attack. See below for pictures of our epic battle!
