Welcome back after half term. To say teamyear 6 have come back to school all guns firing would certainly be an understatement!
They have worked their socks off all week and have been noticed by many members of staff being the fantastic role models we know they can be.
The week started off with an assembly led by Mr Scott explaining how our next big focus in maths will be based around gettung the basics right to enable us to move on further. We will be playing lots of games designed to help us progress and facing a wide range of challenges to help us become super mathemagicians.
In literacy we have started what promises to be an amazing text called 'Rose Blanche', we will be writing a story based on her experiences as a child in Germany during WW2. If the first 3 pages are anything to go by the children are really fired up to learn more.
Much of our topic work this week has been linked to remembrance day as we have been preparing to lead the whole school service. We made poppies and have learnt about some of the brave service men and women who gave up everything to help us live the life we now lead.
Come back next week for another update on teamyear6.
