Our year 2 team includes Mrs Ashworth and Mrs Williams, Mrs Tierney (Art) and Harry (PE). We love working together to make sure our class is a place we all want to be in and that we can learn in a happy, safe environment.

Reading

Reading should increase to include regular sustained periods so that children develop the habit of ‘getting into a good book’ (reading a few pages every few days inhibits this). Although some  of the more fluent readers may be reading independently, parents/carers still need to hear them to read out loud to develop their fluency. Developing readers will still need reading support on a daily basis. This will really help your children in their learning :)

PE 

PE days will be on a Monday morning (indoor) and Thursday afternoon (outdoor). Please ensure your child comes to school in their full, correct PE kit. If you are unsure of what that includes, please check the uniform section via the school website.

Although we aim to provide as much information as possible on our class page, if you do have have questions we are always around to help.
