Week 5

Healthy Mind, Healthy Me


Thursday was Time to Talk Day, helping us all to think about our mental health and well being.  In Year 1 we linked healthy bodies and healthy minds. We spent the afternoon thinking about and practising some of the things that help our bodies feel good, and our minds active and happy.  We took exercise, played, read books and relaxed with yoga.  We also celebrated the things we like and admire about each other.  It was a lovely afternoon that made us all feel very positive about ourselves!


We are having a break from spellings homework this week so that Year 1 can spend some time at home finding out about their family tree.  Your child should bring home more information on Friday.


Next week we are planning our own pop up card designs, finding out about our family trees and the Queen's coronation, continuing to write traditional tales, and developing our understanding of subtraction.
