Week 3
We are now at the end of another busy week in year 6!
In our literacy lessons we have continued to work hard on our writing based around the music video 'Titanium'. We will be starting our supernatural thrillers next week so have been focusing hard on the grammar and stylistic features of writing that we want to include in our narratives.
In guided reading we are coming to the end of our class book 'Wonder'. We have worked so hard on our activities around this text and enjoyed following the main character August's journey through school life.
In maths we have wowed all the adults with the way we are taking to fractions. We have mastered ordering and comparing them and are now working hard on adding and subtracting tricky fractions with different denominators.
In topic and science we have continued our missions to become fully fledged spies and have been working hard in science on learning about evolution.
We have had lots of laughs in year 6 this week and the children have enjoyed laughing at Mr Scott for his strange obsession with watching 'Paw Patrol'.
