Update - In class we have been finding out about animals that are adapted to living in arctic conditions. From this, we created our own 'Super adapted animals' and then made them out of clay - fun, fun, fun!! Final step - to paint them...
Class assembly - even though our performance didn't quite 'come off' on the day, Year 6 wrote the whole of the assembly about the Ice Age themselves! The content was phenomenal!!!!! From the 'Ice Age Factor' to preparing to go trekking in the arctic, and witnessing the collapse of an ice berg.
Look at the banana animation, can you guess where we have been? Yes, the one, the only, CHILL FACTORE!! The children were all nervous in anticipation of what it would be like when they arrived and wrote diary entries that morning explaining how they were feeling. Once we arrived, there was no stopping them - tubing, a skiing taster and climbing. A day of action-packed fun and exhileration!!! Not sure the children realised that it would be that cold, -3 *C on the slopes, ooooh a bit nippy! Well lots of photos and videos below to keep you amused and see the excitement that was had by all - slips and falls, giggles and smiles. A day to remember!
