Week 2 updates

Wow! What a brilliant week we have had and it's only our second week!

We are well and truly into our routines now and settled really well into year 3 and junior life.

In our maths this week we have been finding more and less of a number and have been using our tools from year 2 to help us with the 'chips' and 'peas' for our tens and ones and we added 'pies' to represent our hundreds.

In our topic work this week we have found out there are 3 different rock types; metamorphic; sedimentary; and igneous. We know where these rocks are from and even turned into 'rock detectives' using magnifying glasses to discover any differences.

We have begun our music lessons with Mrs Housley. Mrs Housley is going to be with us Wednesday mornings and will be teaching us how to play the recorder! We already can't wait to show you some of our learning!

Thank you so much for all the support for the homework this week! They are brilliant!

Spellings have gone out this week too, please can the children be practising these at home.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Harris
