Week 3

The children have been super creative this week – working hard to write, paint, cut, stick and chalk to record all we have learnt so far about the polar regions. Some children worked together to represent our world for our display and loved getting their hands messy! We explored the story The Emperors Egg this week which taught us lots of facts about penguins (some of them were abit yucky!), some children wrote the facts they learned, working hard to create some beautiful writing. We have used lots of media and materials to create pictures of some of our favourite Arctic and Antarctic animals. Look at our lovely displays…

Thank you to all of the parents who asked their children about this week’s Rainbow Challenges, it really helps to keep the children motivated to seek out and complete their challenges and ‘Reach for the Rainbow!’

Our assembly winners this week are:

Star of the week - BEAU and ARCHIE. The star of the week is award to children who have really shone this week in their work, progress or behaviour.

Taking Tatty Teddy Bear home are AVIANA. Tatty Teddy watches the children whilst they are sitting on the carpet during adult focused sessions. He chooses to go home with children who have shown super sitting and good listening.

My Happy Mind winners - GERRY and JAD. The happy mind award goes to children who have shown character strengths during the week such as bravery or resilience.

The children who received their Always badges this week were ELLIOT.R and CARTER - Always badges are awarded throughout the school to children who consistently (always!) follow the school rules and adult instructions. It is a very special award and children must wear their Always badge to school each day as part of their uniform. Well done boys!
