Welcome back. We hope you had a wonderful half term. The children have been telling us about the exciting things they did and places they visited. We certainly can't complain about the weather. Long may it continue!
We have welcomed our trainee Mrs Moon, who will be teaching alongside me this half term. She has got lots of exciting ideas for the children's learning.
Our topic this Half term is 'Romans on the March' and our WOW day is a trip to Chester on the 4th April to visit the Dewa Roman Experience and march round the city walls with a Roman centurion. It should be a fun day out but will consolidate the learning in school. (please see attached letter).
In English, we are writing diaries but also concentrating on the two poems which we are learning for our participation in the Choral Speaking event later in March.
Maths is focusing on fractions and decimals and science on States of Matter. Children continue to work with other staff on clarinets, IT, PE and of course enrichment activities.
Please continue to practise spellings and timestables and also telling the time.
Please don't hesitate to contact a member of staff if you have any queries.
