Christmas has well and truly taken over this week! 

We have all been working SO hard on our song and dance in readiness for you all next week and the children are really excited to show off their hard work to you next week. 

Our performances are Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, tickets should have been purchased online. 

We are having a huge push on our spellings, reading and times tables. We have introduced that the children need to have at least 3 entries where they have read either independently or to an adult outside of school and these to have been entered into their reading records. Reading records are to be checked on Monday's. If children have not met these expectations then they will be in reading catch up. All the children know these expectations and have agreed that they could quite easily meet them. 

Children practise their spellings everyday in school by the look, say, cover, write, check method. Please can they practise as much as possible at home too. Dojos are awarded for those children that practise their spellings each night and for those children that have made an improvement for on their spellings from the following week(s).
