Week 3

We are so proud of Year 4 this week.

On Monday we were lucky enough to go to the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester. We discovered all sorts of new information, from who invented the first computer to how Manchester had the very first train line to Liverpool. The children were so excited. We were super proud of their behaviour and conduct throughout the museum. The museum staff even commented on how fantastic they were. Well done!

In our Maths work this week we have been working on perimeter, we learnt a new word 'rectilinear' which means a shape made up of straight lines and right angles. We created our own shapes using a ruler and measuring the perimeter of the shapes we had created.

In writing we have been working hard on our setting descriptions based on 'Weslandia' our focus book. We had a go at using personification, metaphors and similies to describe different settings to help us. We did a fantastic job.
