It's not Just Miss Diamond who did the teaching today....
Eesa wanted to share what he had learnt at mosque with the rest of the class. Eesa's fantastic mother made wonderful tasting, traditional food; which we all (quite happily:) ate whilst listening to
traditional, cultural Islamic music.
Eesa read out a presentation that he had prepared, telling us all about
Milad-un Nabi or Maulid (Mawlid).
This is the birthday celebration of the Muslim's, beloved Prophet Muhammad (s.a.s.) and is celebrated by Muslims as Eid-e Milad. Prophet Muhammad was born Arabia in the city of Mecca on the 12th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Thank you for adding to our learning experience Eesa. We are really proud of you and can't wait for the next lesson.
