Now it's been a short week but we packed lots in before the 'Beast from the East' got the better of us....
We are so proud of the children's initial ideas for our letters to SeaWorld. Mrs Conway popped in to watch our lesson and she was very impressed with the vocabulary the children were using in their drafts. We can't wait to see the finished version and get our letters sent off!
Fractions, fractions, fractions was our maths chant this week. We were focusing on equivalent fractions and showed great 'stickability' when things became a little bit tricky. Year 4 are amazing at being 'maths buddies' as soon as they see a friend struggling they are more than willing to help eachother out. What great teamwork!!!
In our topic work we look at classifying animals which leads into our trip to Castleshaw next week. We really hope our trip goes ahead. Please look at the main class page for the reminders letter which has been sent out this week.
We would like to thank the children who coped very well with the changes to our timetable this week. It was disappointing that Bikeability had to be re-arranged but we have a new date in the diary so it will take place on Tuesday 27th March. We will send out a letter to let you know the details.
We were completely blown away by the pieces of homework handed in this week. The children are putting so much time and effort into their Nandos homework and we would like to thank you all for your support with this. Have a look at some of the photos below!
Next week is a busy week as we are off to Castleshaw on Tuesday. Lets hope the weather gets better!!!
Please look out for the letters coming out early next about Bikeability and Choral Speaking and copies can be found on the main class page.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday
Why not keep yourself busy during the snow day with some Sumdog Competitions. I have set two challenges. One for spelling and one for maths. Remember to have a go and try your best!
Good luck Year 4
