Week 2
I have been absolutely blown away by the children this week!
In our writing, we have begun with planning a setting description. We were introduced to our book we will be basing our writing on this half term, 'The Stone Age Boy'. And we had a look around the camp setting in the story, using our senses to help us.
In our maths, we have been learning column subtraction and at the end of the week, began to do this with exchanges!! Amazing!
On Thursday, it was Remembrance Day. We spent the morning sharing our knowledge, our family stories and hearing some letters from James Lilles, Mrs Harris' great, great uncle. Some of these letters he sent home are 80 years old!
We also looked around some of the props Year 6 had for their learning.
