Week 1

Welcome back. It has been a short week but we have attacked our learning. In Maths we have been looking at statistics (bar graphs and pictograms). I was very impressed with how quickly the children picked up on the vocabulary and the interpretation of the data. Well done Year 4.

In English, we started the process of story writing. I am very hopeful about some fabulous stories being written by the end of the unit.

Our topic this half term is about South America and we have got a lot to pack in in such a short time.

Please remember that we are having a huge focus on spelling and practise weekly spellings plus the extra Y1/2 Y3/4 common exception words.

Again, remember Year 4 are sitting the pilot test for times tables in June, so please keep practising these.

A date for your diary: On 17th June, Year 4 will be going to the Bridgewater Hall to play their clarinets alongside an orchestra and lots of other schools. It will be a fantastic experience and parents are allowed to watch. Further details to follow.
