Wow this has been another busy week and it has flown by...
The finishing touches were made to our Dum Spiro stories. The children have really made improvements with their writing and they should be very proud!! However we didn't have a minute to spare as our classroom is being turned into a newsroom. Year 4 all had a brilliant time looking at newspaper stories and recognising the features of a news report. Why not ask about the the 'Chunky Monkey' news report as this had us all laughing?
We are becoming multiplication and division experts in our maths work and everyone was pushing themselves on in their learning. This next week we are having a real focus on times tables so remember to keep practising whenever you can...walking up the stars, in the car..even on the loo!!!!
Our topic this week was just fab and we have Mr Webster to thank as he got the Year 4's building Roman cities. They children had such a brilliant time and were learning lots of facts as they went along.
Again we can't possibly go a week without saying a huge thank you for all the amazing homework that is being handed it. this week we have seen shields, tours of the Colisseum made in Minecraft, necklaces and Roman figures made with modelling materials. It is just amazing!! Remember the email address to send homework to is info@whitegateend.oldham.sch.uk
A huge thanks goes to each and every member of the Year 4 team (children, parents and staff) as the donations we received for the can drive was just amazing. We really can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity.
Next week is a busy week so here is what to look out for...
- Panto time on Tuesday afternoon so remember we are late back to school.
- Our xmas performance practise will be in full swing so get your dancing shoes and singing voices at the ready
- It will be our last clarinets lesson until after xmas
We hope you all have a restful weekend and we will see you on Monday...
