Our Roving Reporters this week are Lucie & Kriya
This week we have been learning about Algebra through function machines in Maths ; in English, we have been writing a letter to Mr Tushman persuading him to accept August into his school (this is related to our amazing guided reading book 'Wonder'). On Wednesday we did our normal daily mile with a twist, as well as completing our 6 laps of the course we also had to take part in a SPAG grammar treasure hunt. It was great fun ! For our spy school topic we became detectives and took part in a murder investigation using our problem solving skills to solve the crime. As spies we also need to be aware of different cultures and customs so we spent some time on Monday learning about the religion of Islam, including the 5 pillars. We were lucky enough to have a brief visit form Miss Aktar a teacher in year 2 who told us lots of information about her daily life as a Muslim.
