Week 7 updates!

I can't believe we are almost at the end of the first half term already!

The children have had a fantastic week this week. They have taken their learning outside to help us identify our senses for out setting descriptions. We have also been working hard on our capital letters for common and proper nouns. The children have begun their setting description for the centre of the earth … and even at their first draft they're brilliant!

In our maths this week, we have been looking at column addition. We have some dance moves to help us remember where to start when we are using this method.

In our topic, we have been looking at fossilisation this week in line with our science and have also been looking at comparing some volcanoes. We looked at images and found volcanoes were under the sea and flat, some of the landscapes were full of vegetation and some people lived on the sides of volcanoes!

Parents evening is next Monday and Tuesday, the 22nd and 23rd October.

We are also on a school trip on Monday afternoon and we will be back by the end of the day.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Harris
