Week 2

Week two has been so busy... We have stared to really get to grips with our school routine. We would like to say a massive well done to all of the children as there has been a noticeable difference when coming into school in the morning. At Whitegate End we are very lucky as we get many wild visitors throughout the year, this week we have seen ladybird larvae. This has really sparked interest in the children's learning and we had a look at the life cycle of a ladybird. We have continued to embed the rules and expectations when accessing the provision during 'play' e.g. how to tidy up and put things away correctly, use the aprons and further develop play skills.  Reception have now received their first reading book of the year, please ensure they bring this in with them each school day. It would be very beneficial for the children to practise putting on and zipping their coats up independently with the cold weather drawing near. Finally it is great to see some children have already begun their journey towards earning their Always badge, keep it up! Have a great weekend and keep checking in for more updates..
