This week in year 3 we have been investigating magnets! We have carried out our own investigations on magnet strength and the children have been brilliant - they absolutely love this topic!
We have published our newspaper articles on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and they are absolutely fantastic! The children have really got across their imagination and used some vocabulary we have been using in our geography.
In our maths we have began our new topic on money. We have had an exploratory lesson on using different amounts of money and creating different amounts using different coins.
A letter was sent out with the children on Wednesday this week regarding times tables. By the end of the year 3, the children should be secure in 2, 5, 10, 3, 4 and 8 times tables. In order to prepare them for year 4, we will be having a times table test on a Friday along side the spelling test. Any help the children can have at home with their spellings will be a great benefit to them.
Our Art lesson this week we managed to complete our Pablo Picasso work - we recreated our self portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso and it was absolutely fantastic.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
